Students learn central debates within sociology that shape their lives. They will develop a respect for social structures, social processes and social issues and have an understanding of the social world in relation to key perspectives of feminism, functionalism, interactionism and Marxism. They will be able to link the topics we study to develop their view points of the world and their social interactions, explaining how this links to social structures, social processes and social issues.
