With IT becoming a major part of our everyday life it is vital that we are able to provide our students with the very best when it comes to IT Resources and Education.
Our IT Services department work very hard to ensure that students have access to all of the resources they need for the curriculum, not only in ICT lessons but throughout the whole school. With IT taking a larger role throughout the school we are continually developing our resources to ensure that we cater for all needs.
Ensuring that IT resources are available for the lessons when they are needed, is imperative. With this in mind we are continually looking at ways of improving the facilities to ensure that we can prevent any un-planned network down time.
We pride ourselves in using a wide range of technologies from Novell, Linux and Windows. This allows us to build the right solution for our school where we don’t have to compromise on functionality.
Our IT Facilities include:
- Over 400 Computers for staff and students. All of which are under 5 years old and from a single manufacturer
- Dedicated IT Rooms
- Access to work from home
- Interactive whiteboards and projectors in 95% of classrooms
- State of the art digital signage
Our IT Services Department also provides a range of support services for local primary schools.
If you would like to find out more about our IT Facilities or have any other questions please contact our IT Services Department at firstname.lastname@example.org
The school canteen known as the Carta Cafe provides a range of food for students before school, during breaktime and during lunchtime.
Each day there is a main meal available with a vegetarian alternative, the main meal options follow a set menu from Surrey County Council and change each term. There is also a wide range of freshly made sandwiches, baguettes and rolls available at both breaktime and lunchtime.
For students who do not wish to have the main meal there are other alternatives such as jacket potatoes with a range of toppings including baked beans, coleslaw, cheese.
The Carta Cafe operates on a Cashless Card system; students are able to credit their card during the school day at the revaluing units located in the canteen. Alternatively parents can pay online or send a cheque in to school made payable to Surrey County Council
The Magna Carta School is proud to have a fully equipped Arts Centre, funded through a mixture of School and National Lottery Funds. The Magna Carta Arts Centre provides the community with a highly popular venue for local performing groups to hold their shows. We have a range of Drama and Dance events taking place throughout the year.
As well as the events that are organised by local groups we as a school also hold events within the Arts Centre. Our school productions are held within the Arts Centre as well as our very popular Senior Citizen Shows.
If you are interested in hiring any of our school facilities including sports, theatre, specialist rooms or general classrooms, please contact our community manager at email@example.com or via the school office on 01784 454320
